The two artist pairing of this show evokes a dance of shared painterly dispositions set against manifestly distinct personalities. Both painters "dance" with figuration – mediating between being and non-being, essence and evanescence. Whether working in vivid colors or nearly monochromatic abstractions, these artists consistently create works that engage and maintain curiosity without ever quite resolving into simple answers.
